Qualifications

I have a Masters of Social Work (MSW) and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 12 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families. I have specialized training in treating trauma and PTSD, abuse, depression, anxiety, complex family issues, and relationship and emotional problems. I utilize an eclectic approach and I am skilled in multiple models of treatment including: EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and Family Systems.

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) through the EMDR Institute level 1 and 2 since 2005. I continue to receive consultation and advanced training yearly in EMDR. In addition to training with adults, I have received advanced training treating children with EMDR and in my practice work with adults, adolescents, and children. What is EMDR?

I've assisted individuals in healing from various types of trauma from single incident trauma such as a car accident or surviving a crime to more complex issues such as childhood abuse. I've received training in Complex Psychological Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Critical Incident Stress Management, Trauma Model Therapy, Role of Rhythm and Action in Brain Development, Attachment, and Trauma.

I have years of experience supporting families and children around a variety of challenges such as; behavioral problems, parenting challenges, attachment and bonding, communication, conflict and divorce and separation.
